Scripture: 1 John 4:17 through 1 John 4:18 (KJV)

Fear of death

Death produces fear; Fear produces death

17Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

ØFear is the number one attack of the enemy that you will face on planet earth.

The earth is a fear filled place.  It is right that believers are being led to write books about it.  It is right for preachers to preach on it.  It is right for you to have an arsenal of books and tapes on it, to help you combat it.  It is right for you to mark out in your Bible or to have lists of scriptures that help you in this fight.

At all costs it must be eliminated from your life.

God is extremely intent on its demise as we have over 125 scriptures with the simple phrase ‘Fear not’

ØThe Ultimate Root Of Fear Is Death.

Hebrews 2:14–15 (ESV)

14 Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.

§  24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
