What is the Lighthouse?

The Lighthouse is a group of dedicated believers pursuing the biblical purpose of God to be a beacon of light in the midst of an ever darkening world.   Through personal fellowships, in-class relationships, engaged ministry and most importantly the living Word of the Most High God, this Grace Crossroads group presses on to know the Lord Jesus Christ in all His resurrection power.

The ministry of the Word is center stage at the Lighthouse.  Naturally, meals can be served up two ways.  You can take a baked potato right out of vegetable drawer, add a nice ribeye steak right out of the back part of the refrigerator, where it is nice and cold.  If you add those two items on a gold plate and put a little garnish on the side and serve it, – it’s beautiful -it has the correct elements for a wonderful meal – but in the end it’s still a cold meal.  Take that same meal- that same baked potato and ribeye steak and put some heat underneath it and what a wonderful difference!!!  Take the rightly divided Word of God  ministered out of heart burning and hungry for God and you have the essence of The Lightouse.  People should feel the heat of our passion for God when they are around us!   We should be hot and passionate in our pursuit of God – desiring to know Him – yearning to grow in Him. The only way we are going to get ‘hot’ enough is by getting close enough to the flame. When people asked John Wesley for the secret of his success in revival meetings, it has been said John replied, “I set myself on fire and people come from miles around to watch me burn.”  People should see the light of your flame and feel the heat of your passion for God.  This is The Lighthouse at its core.

Matthew 3:11 (ESV)

11 “I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
